FJB - Short Film Task

There were several shots that I thought worked well in our short film clip.
Firstly, the jump cut at the start. We added this transition after the punch scene because we wanted to show how quickly the punch had happened, for effect.
Another good transition was the fade in/fade out between going to sleep, and waking up. We used this to emphasize that there had been a change in time.
We also used this for the three clips of the school lesson. We used it between these clips to show that time was passing slowly. Also to show that the lesson was getting more and more boring, as time passed. We used jump cuts of the boy walking towards the camera. We did this to emphasise that it was a scary scene.

This helped me to learn about different transitions between shots and which ones worked the best.
